We stayed just for one night at this floating house. It’s small but perfect! You have everything you need even a AC, warm water, power, WiFi, and a full kitchen to prepare delicious meals on the water. Every time of the day the sun reflects different and shows different colors of the lagoon. Watch it from the deck, the terrace or even with a Kajak. If you feel like a little dip just jump in the water directly from your room. It’s such a tranquil peaceful quiet place!
This property has a bungalow and a house boat on the lake. We stayed in the bungalow and there was no one in the house boat. We enjoyed the privacy and the groundskeeper was on hand for any needs. We had easy access to the lake. There are no TVs and the WiFi is iffy, but you don't need it there anyway IMO. Andrea is one of the caretakers and she can direct you to awesome adventures like the stingless bee keepers and a Hobie cat tour. Points to consider: -You must bring what you need, town center to Bacalar is the closest thing. Literally nothing in between. - Back to point one: if you don't have a car, it can be costly to get into town and the road to the location is bumpy (but worth it!). You can't just hail a cab like you would in the city. - The whole area of Bacalar is very eco mindful, reef safe sunscreen and organic mosquito repellent is a must. And trust, you will need the mosquito repellent. It's just one of those things when you are in the middle of the natural jungle.

This vacation home with a lagoon front view is cute , clean,spacious ,this place is great for those looking for privacy . The stay was really comfortable . Highly recommended. The place IS located in the outskirts of bacalar and few minutes from downtown It is a magical place to stay with its own private access to the beautiful lagoon . Our host Sebastian was very communicable , extremely responsive and helpul , he provided very detailed information place , locations, directions, and surrounding areas. Thank you sooo much , and we will definitely be coming back .
What a great experience, the bungalow we stayed in was clean, spacious and peaceful! The caretaker is very kind and accommodating. Super reasonable rates. Beware: the WiFi isn't great but it didn't effect our stay because there's lots to do around there!
